Carnival at Attention! 17 players romped around at the February 28, 2026 at Attention to take part in the traditional Tröpferl tournament. This A different kind of tournament sometimes reveals unexpected talents: resistance to drinking, stamina, team spirit, creativity (when choosing clothes) and, in some cases, the skillful use of badminton - at the end of the day, most of them knew where their strengths and those of their partner lay.
The teams were drawn at random at the start. Overall, the teams were quite evenly matched, with the results in this tournament format always being very close and often only two points deciding victory or defeat at 19:19 (after the „toast“)...
Star on four legs
The imaginative costumes of numerous participants alone ensured a good atmosphere, and the drinking station did the rest. The results were then almost a minor matter. Nevertheless, three teams were delighted to receive non-cash prizes at the end: Pranav Pramod Patil & Paul Rumpelsberger won all four of their matches and took the victory. Mario Diethart & Christoph Klampfer came second ahead of Melanie Harrer & Nicolas Nehl. Also to be emphasized: Marathon man Andreas Auer, who played in two teams due to the odd number of participants.
But the star of the day was a four-legged guest: Peter Schlosser, alias Obelix, and his cuddly toy mascot Idefix won the special prize for the best costume by public vote! You can find the photos in the Gallery.
